Photographer
Meet Steve ScarboroughSteve Scarborough is a long time resident of the Jacksonville Beaches area. He graduated from Duncan U. Fletcher High School in 1965 and then attended college in Atlanta, Ga. His interest in photography dates back to his junior year in high school where his science project was developing B&W photographs of the moon. In 1982 he teamed up with Joe Claytor, a producer for WTLV in Jacksonville , Fl. to create the Video By The Sea production company. After Joe passed away a few years later, Steve studied photographic techniques under the well known photographer, Virgil Dean and created a new company Artistic Photography. When the new Internet era began, Steve tried to obtain the Artistic Photography domain name but it was unavailable. A new name was needed and Beaches Photography was available so he registered that name and the new company was formed. Steve's experience ranges from medium format and 35mm to digital photography. In 2000 the future seemed to be strongly headed in digital photography and that seemed to be the next logical move. It offers speed in shooting like 35mm but offers the quality of medium format cameras. This allows flexibility in shooting anything from special events to portrait photography and weddings.
